


A1 LIST (equivalent to Level 4 of the JEP)
- For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed, have completed their first appointment and who have the support of the TTBOC.
A2 LIST (equivalent to Level 4 of the JEP)
- For persons who fulfil all the requirements of the A3 list, have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements, have been accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list, and have the support of the TTBOC.
A3 LIST (equivalent to Level 3 of the JEP) BREED SPECIALIST
- Judges with a minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed, who have the support of the TTBOC to award Challenge Certificates but who have not as yet been approved by the Kennel Club and have not as yet completed their first CC appointment.
- To have judged a minimum of 60 dogs of this breed.
- To meet all Level 3 JEP requirements:-
- Undergo a minimum of three mentoring sessions with a minimum of 12 months between first and third session
- Be observed judging a breed club show, breed supported entry show or championship show without CCs once mentoring sessions have been undertaken
- Complete remaining 10 full-day stewarding appointments (one time qualification)
- Have owned/bred a minimum of three dogs when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book – save for exceptional circumstances (one-time qualification for first breed in which a judge awards CCs)
- Have achieved the relevant hands-on experience in line with the stated requirements for the relevant breed: Tier 4 Tibetan Terrier – Traditional Route 120 dogs, JEP Route 60 dogs
A3 LIST (equivalent to Level 3 of the JEP) NON-BREED SPECIALIST
- Judges with a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this breed), who have the support of the TTBOC to award Challenge Certificates but who have not as yet been approved by the Kennel Club and have not yet completed their first CC appointment. To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed, judged a minimum of 60 dogs and meet all Level 3 JEP requirements as above.
B LIST (equivalent to Level 2 of the JEP) BREED SPECIALIST & NON- BREED SPECIALIST
- Judges the TTBOC would support to judge the breed without Challenge Certificates and who meet all Level 2 JEP requirements:-
- Minimum of five years proven interest in pedigree dogs
- Attend a requirements of a dog show judge seminar. Take and pass requirements of a dog show judge examination. Judges attending an online requirements of a dog show judge seminar may take the exam via The Kennel Club Academy
- Attend a conformation and movement seminar
- Complete a minimum of two full-day stewarding appointments
- Pass points of a dog assessment
- Attend a Tibetan Terrier breed appreciation day (BAD) and pass a multiple-choice examination (MCE)
- View ring stewarding seminar and take online quiz
- Complete critique writing seminar and take online quiz
Note: You will need to provide your details in order to be added to the appropriate list. We do not vote or hold secret ballots except in very unusual circumstances. If an applicant feels they should be on a different list or are not on any list then they should write to the Hon. Secretary and the matter will be discussed in Committee.
The judges contained in these lists are confined to those who have support of the TTBOC and are not necessarily the entire list of judges who have been approved to judge the breed.
There are separate lists for breed specialists, non-breed specialists and overseas judges.
